Listen Up!

Our team member Jennie is out for her honeymoon. The wedding was joyous and full of love. While Jennie basks in the sun and zip lines the day away...we're here holding down the customer service front. 🤣

In other words, WE MISS JENNIE! You might notice things are not quite as smooth as usual Our CEO has hijacked social. Did you see this Wednesday Addams inspired post? Oh boy.

3 SCOOPS WHAT'S IN THE NEWS?

October = Dyslexia Awareness Month

October is internationally recognized as Dyslexia Awareness Month, an opportunity to elevate understanding, reduce stigma, and celebrate the strengths of dyslexic learners.

This month, let’s:

  • Share fact sheets and stories about dyslexia (free download here)

  • Use the hashtag #DyslexiaAwarenessMonth

  • Host mini-lessons in your circle (family, classroom, team) about how dyslexia interacts with math

  • Promote neurodiversity and inclusive practices in every space

Every small share helps push the conversation forward.

📰 From the News: A Dire Threat to Disability Rights

We want you to be aware — and ready to act.

A coalition of education, civil rights, and disability advocacy groups has publicly condemned sweeping layoffs at the U.S. Department of Education. The cuts have hit core offices that protect students with disabilities, including OSEP (Office of Special Education Programs), RSA, OCR, and OESE.

These offices are central to enforcing laws like IDEA and Section 504, and their dismantling could leave many students without recourse when schools fail to provide legally required supports.

What we can do together:

  • Share this news with your network

  • Write or call your U.S. representatives and senators asking them to defend IDEA and restore these offices

  • Let’s make sure systems don’t fail the very learners we fight for

  • If you are a business that serves this community, join the statement document

As advocates, this is the moment we can’t afford silence.
